Central proposition

The central proposition of MAKER BIBLE — Lordship Edition is not simply “God created man.” It is the purpose embedded in the way God created man. The governing teleology The Maker made man in His image and likeness so that man would exercise dominion over the works of His hands. Genesis 1:26–28 gives the sequence explicitly: Image → likeness → blessing → fruitfulness → subduing → dominion. And Psalm 8 confirms the same design: “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.”

What this Bible is

MAKER BIBLE — Lordship Edition is a Bible first. It is not merely a philosophy book, a business book, a book about creativity, or a book about productivity.

It is a Scripture-centered Bible edition. A study resource. A commentary and study-note project. A systematic exploration of the Maker’s design: man’s image, likeness, purpose, stewardship, and dominion.

The biblical text remains the foundation. The editorial layer helps the reader recognize the Maker’s design throughout Scripture. God is the Maker. Man is made in the image and likeness of the Maker. Man is designed to steward creation as a maker.

KJV. Commentary is marked as commentary, never as Scripture.

Why Maker Bible?

  1. The Maker

    God as Creator and source. God created. God designed. God ordered. God gave purpose.

  2. The Image

    Man made in God’s image and likeness. Man must be understood according to the One whose image he bears.

  3. The Mandate

    Be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue. The blessing and the charge sit on the same verse.

  4. The Dominion

    Man given dominion over the works of God’s hands. Psalm 8 confirms Genesis 1:26–28: all things under his feet.

  5. The Stewardship

    Man’s responsibility to steward creation. Making is not an accident of civilization. It follows from design.

  6. The Making

    Man operating according to the Maker-given capacity to create, design, build, cultivate, invent, organize, and bring things into ordered usefulness.

  7. The Lordship

    Man exercising his assignment under the Lordship of the Maker. Lordship and dominion belong together. This is not passivity disconnected from the mandate.

Scriptural foundation

King James Version. Teasers only. The sample in the reader is Genesis 1.

  • Genesis 1:26–28

    “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… male and female created he them… Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion…”

    Image, likeness, blessing, fruitfulness, subduing, dominion. The primary foundation.

  • Psalm 8

    “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet… O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”

    God’s hands → works of His hands → man → dominion. The confirmation of Lordship Edition.

  • Psalm 82:6

    “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”

    Examine the verse’s own pairing: gods, and children of the most High. Do not erase the wording.

  • Romans 3:23

    “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

    Fallen condition is not original design. Come short must be studied against the glory in which man was made.

  • Romans 8:17

    “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…”

    Children → sons → heirs → heirs of God → joint-heirs with Christ.

  • Galatians 4:7

    “Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

    Sonship and heirship are not incidental to the Doctrine of Man.

  • 1 Corinthians 6:17

    “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”

    Union. Not generic fellowship language.

  • 2 Peter 1:4

    “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

    Promise → partakers → divine nature.

  • 1 John 4:17

    “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

    Present tense. As he is, so are we in this world — not postponed to a later world only.

  • John 17:20–23

    “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one…”

    Glory given. One. Union. Do not remove glory from the Doctrine of Man.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17

    “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

    Redemption and restoration. The fall is not the end of the story.

  • Colossians 2:10

    “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”

    Completeness in Him. Restoration of the Maker’s design, not a lesser substitute.

  • Colossians 1:14

    “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

    Redemption through His blood. Investigate what this restores of original design.
